Ingredients

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 2 sandwich rolls
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge chicken in flour, dip in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs mixed with parmesan.
  4. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes each side.
  6. Place fried chicken on a baking sheet.
  7. Top each piece with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes until cheese is melted.
  9. Toast sandwich rolls.
  10. Assemble sandwiches with chicken and toppings of choice.
