Description
Chicken Paprikash is a traditional Hungarian dish made with chicken, paprika, and a creamy sauce.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet.
- Brown the chicken on all sides.
- Stir in paprika and bell pepper, cook for 2 minutes.
- Add diced tomatoes and chicken broth, bring to a simmer.
- Cover and cook for 30 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in sour cream before serving.
Notes
- Serve with egg noodles or rice.
- Adjust paprika amount for desired spiciness.
- Can substitute chicken breast for thighs if preferred.
