Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 and 3/4 cups of milk
  • 1/2 cup of melted butter

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk, seasoning, salt, and pepper for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  2. Prepare the waffle batter by mixing dry ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients in another, then combine.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C) and fry the marinated chicken for 10-12 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Cook the waffles in a preheated waffle iron until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Plate a warm waffle, top with fried chicken, and drizzle with maple syrup before serving.
