  • Celery – 2 stalks, diced
  • Onion – 1 medium, chopped

  • Pepper – 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, diced carrots, and diced celery. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer. Add the shredded chicken, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and remaining salt. Add the milk and melted butter, stirring until just combined.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the dumpling batter into the simmering broth, spacing them out evenly. Cover the pot and let cook for 15-20 minutes without lifting the lid.
  5. Once the dumplings are fluffy, gently stir the pot to combine everything. Serve hot, garnished with additional diced carrots and celery if desired.
