Description

A homemade version of the popular Chick-fil-A crispy chicken sandwich.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup dill pickle juice
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Butter for toasting
  • Dill pickles

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in pickle juice for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Mix milk and marinated chicken in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Dip chicken in the flour mixture, coating well.
  5. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Toast the hamburger buns in butter until golden.
  8. Assemble the sandwich with chicken and dill pickles.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is cooked through.
  • For extra crunch, double coat the chicken.
