A simple and delicious cherry dump cake that requires minimal effort.


Ingredients

  • 1 can of cherry pie filling (21 oz)
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 1 cup of chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the cherry filling.
  4. Cut the butter into slices and place them evenly on top of the cake mix.
  5. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
