- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup poppy seeds
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup chopped cherries (fresh or frozen)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flours, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and poppy seeds.
- In another bowl, mix the eggs, milk, oil, and almond extract.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped cherries.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- This bread freezes well for later use.
- You can substitute other fruits if desired.
