Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the potato slices in the dish.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cheese over the potatoes.
  5. In a bowl, mix cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes and cheese.
  7. Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, cheese, and cream mixture.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden.

Notes

  • Use Yukon Gold potatoes for best results.
  • Add cooked bacon for extra flavor.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
