Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Spread the dough on a baking sheet and dimple it with your fingers.
- Top with sliced onion, cheese, and oregano.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- You can add other toppings like herbs or olives.
- For extra flavor, brush with garlic oil before baking.
