Description
Champurrado is a thick Mexican hot chocolate drink made with masa and spices.
Ingredients

- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup masa harina
- 1/2 cup chocolate (Mexican or dark)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a pot, combine water and masa harina. Stir until smooth.
- Add milk, chocolate, sugar, and cinnamon stick. Mix well.
- Heat on medium, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Serve warm in mugs.

- Adjust sugar to taste.
- Use a whisk for a smoother texture.
- Add more chocolate for a richer flavor.
