Ingredients

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir until sugar dissolves, then stop stirring and let it boil.
- Cook until the mixture turns a golden amber color.
- Remove from heat and carefully add cream and butter.
- Add vanilla extract and stir until smooth.
- Let the syrup cool before using.
Notes
- Store syrup in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
- Reheat before using if it thickens.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
