A creamy and flavorful dip made with caramelized onions and Gruyere cheese.

- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup Gruyere cheese, grated
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 20 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Add caramelized onions and Gruyere cheese to the mixture.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- Serve warm with bread or crackers.
- Can be made ahead and reheated.
