- 4 slices of bread
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and salt.
- Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture until soaked.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the soaked bread and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- In another pan, melt the remaining butter and add sliced bananas and brown sugar.
- Cook until bananas are caramelized, about 3-4 minutes.
- Serve French toast topped with caramelized bananas.

- Use thick bread for best results.
- Adjust sweetness to your preference.
- Serve with maple syrup if desired.
