A delicious caramel apple stuffed French toast casserole.
Ingredients

- 8 slices of bread
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup diced apples
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish.
- Cut the bread into cubes and place half in the dish.
- Mix apples, caramel sauce, and cinnamon; pour over the bread.
- Add remaining bread on top.
- Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and spices; pour over bread.
- Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve with extra caramel sauce.
Notes
- Use day-old bread for better texture.
- Can be prepared a day ahead.
- Top with whipped cream if desired.
