A festive treat combining brownies and candy canes.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup crushed candy canes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in sugar.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Mix in vanilla, flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Fold in half of the crushed candy canes.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let cool and sprinkle remaining candy canes on top.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- For a mintier flavor, add peppermint extract.
