Ingredients
- Cabbage leaves: 12 large leaves
- Ground beef: 1 lb (450 g)
- Cooked rice: 1 cup (about 185 g)
- Onion: 1 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
- Tomato sauce: 2 cups (about 480 ml)
- Salt: 1 teaspoon (to taste)
- Pepper: 1/2 teaspoon (to taste)
- Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Prepare the cabbage by blanching the whole head in boiling water for 2-3 minutes to soften the leaves.
- Make the filling by sautéing onion and garlic in olive oil, then mixing with ground beef, cooked rice, salt, and pepper.
- Assemble the cabbage rolls by placing filling in the cabbage leaves and rolling them tightly.
- Cook the rolls in a baking dish with tomato sauce at 350°F (175°C) for 45-60 minutes.
Notes

- Avoid overfilling the leaves to prevent bursting during cooking.
- Season the filling well for enhanced flavor.
