Description
Sweet and savory brown sugar glazed carrots make a perfect side dish.
Ingredients

- 1 lb carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the carrots and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar, salt, and pepper over the carrots.
- Add the water and stir to combine.
- Cover the skillet and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the carrots are tender.
- Remove the lid and cook for another 2-3 minutes to thicken the glaze.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Try adding a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor.
- You can use baby carrots for convenience.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
