Ingredients

- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Steam the broccoli until tender, about 5 minutes.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour to create a roux.
- Gradually add milk, whisking constantly until thickened.
- Stir in cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until melted and smooth.
- Combine macaroni, broccoli, and cheese sauce in a large bowl. Mix well.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
Notes
- You can add breadcrumbs on top for a crunchy texture.
- Substitute cheese for a different flavor.
