Description

A delicious black forest swiss roll filled with chocolate and cherries.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large eggs
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 75g all-purpose flour
  • 25g cocoa powder
  • 100g whipped cream
  • 200g cherries, pitted
  • 50g dark chocolate, grated
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Beat eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
  3. Sift in flour and cocoa powder, fold gently.
  4. Pour batter into a lined baking tray, spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until springy.
  6. Remove from oven and turn onto a clean towel.
  7. Roll the cake with the towel and let it cool.
  8. Whip the cream and fold in cherries.
  9. Unroll the cooled cake, spread cream mixture, and sprinkle chocolate.
  10. Roll the cake again, dust with powdered sugar.

  • Chill the whipped cream before using.
