Description

A rich and creamy cheesecake with layers of chocolate and cherry, inspired by the classic Black Forest cake.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed chocolate cookies
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix crushed cookies with melted butter.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Blend in sour cream until incorporated.
  7. Pour half of the cheesecake batter over the crust.
  8. Spread cherry pie filling over the batter.
  9. Top with remaining cheesecake batter.
  10. Bake for 60-70 minutes.
  11. Let cool and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
