A rich and creamy cheesecake with layers of chocolate and cherry, inspired by the classic Black Forest cake.
Ingredients

- 2 cups crushed chocolate cookies
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate shavings
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a bowl, mix crushed cookies with melted butter.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Blend in sour cream until incorporated.
- Pour half of the cheesecake batter over the crust.
- Spread cherry pie filling over the batter.
- Top with remaining cheesecake batter.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes.
- Let cool and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

- Use room temperature ingredients for best results.
- Top with extra cherry pie filling and chocolate shavings before serving.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
