Delicious black and white cookies perfect for celebrating the New Year.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture, mixing well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, then cool on a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and water until smooth.
- Dip half of each cookie in the glaze, then melt chocolate chips and drizzle over the other half.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- Use different flavors of glaze for variety.
- Can be made a day in advance.
