Delicious black and white cookies perfect for celebrating the New Year.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture, mixing well.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, then cool on a wire rack.
  8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and water until smooth.
  9. Dip half of each cookie in the glaze, then melt chocolate chips and drizzle over the other half.
