Delicious and hearty sour cabbage rolls stuffed with flavorful rice and meat mixture.


Ingredients

  • 1 large head of sour cabbage
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, cook the rice according to package instructions.
  3. In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  4. In a bowl, combine cooked rice, ground beef, sautéed onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  5. Carefully remove leaves from the sour cabbage head.
  6. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf.
  7. Roll the leaf tightly, tucking in the sides.
  8. Place the rolls in a baking dish.
  9. Pour diced tomatoes and beef broth over the rolls.
  10. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.

Notes

  • Use leftover cabbage leaves for added flavor.
