A simple and delicious recipe for General Tso’s chicken made in an air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Add chicken pieces to the marinade and let sit for 30 minutes.
  3. Coat marinated chicken in cornstarch.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Place chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  7. Remove chicken and toss with the remaining marinade in a pan over medium heat for a few minutes.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve.

Notes

  • Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
