Description
Hearty beef lombardi casserole with layers of pasta, beef, and cheese.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef with onions and garlic.
- Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the beef.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the noodles, half of the beef mixture, and half of the ricotta cheese.
- Repeat layers and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- This casserole can be frozen for up to 3 months.
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach.
