Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until cooked through.
  3. Stir in sauerkraut, garlic powder, and black pepper. Cook for 2 more minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  5. Roll out the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  6. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture on each triangle, top with cheese.
  7. Fold the dough over the filling to form a pocket and pinch to seal.
  8. Place on a baking sheet and brush with beaten egg.
