Description

Beef and cheese chimichangas are crispy, deep-fried tortillas filled with seasoned beef and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
  2. Add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese.
  4. Place a portion of the beef mixture in the center of each tortilla.
  5. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling and roll tightly.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  7. Fry each chimichanga until golden brown on all sides.
  8. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
