Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin: 500 grams, thinly sliced against the grain.
  • Broccoli florets: 300 grams.
  • Soy sauce: 4 tablespoons.
  • Garlic: 3 cloves, minced.
  • Ginger: 1 tablespoon, minced.
  • Cornstarch: 2 tablespoons.
  • Sesame oil: 1 tablespoon.
  • Vegetable oil: 2 tablespoons.
  • Water: 1/4 cup.
  • Salt and pepper: to taste.

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef sirloin thinly against the grain and place it in a bowl.
  2. Marinate the beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, salt, and pepper for 15-30 minutes.
  3. Blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then transfer to ice water.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, sear the marinated beef for 2-3 minutes, then stir-fry until fully cooked.
  5. Add the blanched broccoli to the skillet and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet, pour the sauce over, and cook until thickened.

Notes

  • Overcooking the beef can make it tough.
  • Marinate the beef for at least 15-30 minutes for better flavor.
  • Use fresh broccoli for the best results.
  • Blanching helps retain the color and crunch of the broccoli.
  • Taste the sauce before adding it to adjust flavors as needed.
