Bavarian cream doughnuts are light, fluffy pastries filled with rich Bavarian cream.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup Bavarian cream
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Heat milk and butter until warm. Add to the dry ingredients.
- Add eggs and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes.
- Let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
- Roll out dough and cut into circles.
- Let circles rise again for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep pan.
- Fry doughnuts until golden brown on both sides.
- Cool slightly, then fill with Bavarian cream and dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
- Use a thermometer to ensure oil is at the right temperature.
- Allow doughnuts to cool before filling.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
