A delicious twist on traditional banana pudding with a caramelized banana topping.
Ingredients

- 4 ripe bananas
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups vanilla pudding mix
- 4 cups milk
- 1 box vanilla wafers
- 1 cup whipped cream
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar and stir until dissolved.
- Slice bananas and add to the skillet.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until bananas are caramelized.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- In a bowl, mix vanilla pudding with milk according to package instructions.
- Layer vanilla wafers, pudding, and caramelized bananas in a dish.
- Repeat layers and top with whipped cream.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe bananas for the best flavor.
- Adjust the amount of sugar based on your preference.
- Can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
