- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the bananas in a bowl.
- Mix in the melted butter and sugar.
- Add the eggs and vanilla, then mix well.
- Combine the baking soda and salt in a separate bowl with the flour.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the banana mixture.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool completely.
- In a bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and heavy cream, and mix until combined.
- Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled cake.
Notes
- Ensure bananas are very ripe for best flavor.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Can add nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
