Delicious banana bars topped with cream cheese frosting.
Ingredients

- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix mashed bananas and butter.
- Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir until combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before frosting.
- For the frosting, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread frosting on cooled banana bars.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- For extra flavor, add chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the batter.
