  • Tomato sauce: 2 cups (480 ml)
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Pepper: 1/2 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Paprika: 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley: 1/4 cup, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cabbage leaves by boiling a large pot of water and blanching the whole cabbage for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Make the filling by mixing ground beef, uncooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika in a bowl.
  3. Assemble the rolls by placing filling in the cabbage leaves and rolling them tightly.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and layer tomato sauce in a baking dish before placing the rolls seam-side down.
  5. Cover the rolls with remaining tomato sauce, cover with foil, and bake for 1 hour, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.
