Ingredients

  • 1 whole turkey (1214 lbs)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup chopped vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, broccoli)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the turkey.
  4. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
  5. Roast for 3 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes to brown the skin.
  7. While the turkey roasts, cook jasmine rice in chicken broth according to package instructions.
  8. Sauté chopped vegetables in a pan until tender.
  9. Serve turkey with rice and vegetables.
