A delicious apple crumb slab pie with a buttery crust and sweet apple filling.
Ingredients

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 4 cups sliced apples
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, 1/2 cup sugar, and salt.
- Add butter and mix until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into a greased baking pan.
- Mix apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and remaining sugar in a bowl.
- Spread apple mixture over the crust.
- Top with remaining crumb mixture and oats.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool before slicing.
Notes
- Use a mix of sweet and tart apples for better flavor.
- Serve warm with ice cream.
