Ingredients

  • 1 cup apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture, mixing well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in diced apples and cream cheese until well combined.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  8. Mix oats and nuts, and sprinkle on top of the batter.
  9. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool before slicing.
