Ingredients
- All-purpose flour – 2 cups (240 g)
- Granulated sugar – 1 cup (200 g)
- Baking powder – 2 teaspoons
- Ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon
- Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
- Eggs – 2 large
- Milk – 1/2 cup (120 ml)
- Vegetable oil – 1/2 cup (120 ml)
- Diced apples – 1 1/2 cups (about 2 medium apples)
- Optional add-ins: Chopped nuts, raisins, oats, vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a 9×5-inch (23×13 cm) loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add milk and vegetable oil, mixing until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
- Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Once baked, cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
