Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 apples, peeled and diced
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes.
  5. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  6. In another bowl, mix apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
  7. Roll out the dough and spread the apple mixture on top.
  8. Roll the dough into a log and slice it in half lengthwise.
  9. Braid the two halves together and shape into a loaf.
  10. Place in a greased loaf pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  11. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes.
