Description
A sweet, braided bread filled with apple and cinnamon.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 apples, peeled and diced
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes.
- Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- In another bowl, mix apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
- Roll out the dough and spread the apple mixture on top.
- Roll the dough into a log and slice it in half lengthwise.
- Braid the two halves together and shape into a loaf.
- Place in a greased loaf pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes.
Notes
- Ensure apples are firm to hold shape during baking.
- Can be served warm or at room temperature.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
