Description

A simple recipe for making beef jerky using an air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of beef (sirloin or flank steak)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Add the beef strips to the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 160°F (70°C).
  5. Remove the beef from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels.
  6. Place the beef strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  7. Cook for 4-6 hours, checking for doneness every hour.
  8. Once the jerky is dry and chewy, remove it from the air fryer and let it cool.
